Jeremy Patterson
A Note From The Host

Why I'm hosting this — and why at no cost.

I've spent 21 years in mortgage and finance. In that time I've sat across the table from thousands of San Diego families. Two patterns kept showing up.

The families building real wealth weren't earning the most. They were spending on purpose. And the families struggling weren't lazy or unlucky — nobody had ever shown them how the system actually works.

So we built this panel. A realtor, a CFP, a tax pro, and me. Ninety minutes. No pitch. Bring your kid if they're 15 or older — honestly, especially then.

What We'll Cover

Four pillars. Ninety minutes. Zero fluff.

Each panelist owns one pillar. You leave with notes, a worksheet, and a clear next step for your family.

Pillar 01

Credit

How scores really get calculated, what moves the needle in 30 days, and the three credit mistakes that quietly cost families six figures over a lifetime.

Pillar 02

Spending Plans

A budget is a guess. A spending plan is a strategy. Build one that funds your life now and still puts dollars to work building wealth in the background.

Pillar 03

Saving

Emergency fund vs. opportunity fund vs. down-payment fund. Where each one lives, what it earns, and the order to fill them — even on a tight month.

Pillar 04

Investment Strategy

Real estate, retirement accounts, taxable brokerage, and the tax moves that make all three more powerful. How wealthy families layer them across generations.

Meet The Panel

Four practitioners. One table. Your questions answered.

Each panelist has spent a career advising San Diego families. No theory — only what they've actually seen work.

Questions, Answered

Before you RSVP

Is this really free? What's the catch?

Yes — completely free, no catch. The panelists each donate 90 minutes because we believe financial education shouldn't have a paywall. There's no sales pitch at the end. If you want to follow up with any of us afterward, you can. If you don't, you don't.

Can I bring my teenager? What about younger kids?

Please bring your teenager — that's the whole point. We designed this so a 15-year-old can follow it. The RSVP form has a checkbox for bringing a teen so we can set the room for the right energy. Kids under 15 are welcome too, but the content will move at adult pace.

What if I'm already a homeowner — is this still for me?

Absolutely. A big chunk of the panel — especially the tax, equity, and investment sections — is more relevant once you own. We'll cover how to use the home you already have as a wealth-building tool rather than just a place that costs you money every month.

Will the event be recorded or streamed?

No — this one is in-person only. The Q&A portion gets into specific family situations and we want people to feel comfortable speaking openly. If demand is strong we may host a virtual version later in the year. RSVP and we'll keep you posted.

How many seats are available and can I bring my whole family?

The KW office comfortably seats around 60. You can RSVP up to 6 seats per household — pick your party size on the form. Once we hit capacity we close registration, so reserve early if you're planning to bring multiple family members.
